"The scene of the "shot thru the enemy scope"
from Saving Private Ryan was not "stolen" from
any Marine Corps GUNNERY Sgt.Hathcock lore. If
you care to read, it is first documented in the
afore mentioned story of the German vs. Russian
sniper duel. It's an event that is sadly
copied, "stolen", etc. in all kinds of fiction,
film, etc. Sorry, but Gunny Hathcock wasn't the
first one to do it, nor Private Ryan's saving
unit. It appears you may have leafed through the
softcover pocketbook based on Mr. Hathcock's
experiences"

You're going to take the word of Stalin-esque
1940's propaganda, or the word of a United States
Marine? Shame on you. Tis true his book you could
read in a couple hours but an excellant read
nonetheless.

Do you even own/shot a gun? (Insert Macho Bravado
here)
